There are a number of reasons why people lack access to clean water; from droughts to oppression to infrastructure deficiencies. We need smart, sustainable solutions to break the poverty cycle. As a result, we tailor our Thirst Relief programs to have the most suitable, sustainable solution to each issue.
Drinking, cooking, washing, and making wudu are all safe when there is reliable access to safe, clean water. In addition, women and children no longer have to walk for miles to collect dirty water. Across Africa and Asia, women and children walk around 3.7 miles to collect water, carrying around 20 liters.
